Yesterday the Arab and Islamic region lost a very important figure the King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz AlSaud of Saudi Arabia , as known also to be the Custodian of the two Holy Mosques. He was very much known to be a wise reformer for greater opportunities for woman and human rights, he supported and implemented a lot of decisions such as giving woman the right to run and vote in municipal elections and become members of the Shura Council. In 2011, he provided the opportunity for woman to participate in public life. He believed in woman,and discriminated any “fatwa”that was against her and the true spirit of Islam. He believe in educating woman and was one of his great priorities,scholarships were issued to many, believing that when woman are enlightened by education they will raise a great nation.He created jobs in courts, ministers, universities etc.. To empower woman and show progressive Muslim identity in the world.
Finally King Abdulla will always be remembered for his great accomplishments and determination towards progress and equality.May he rest in peace.
